Celebrity Portrait

I completed an Illustration and Vector-based project when I was in college. It involves creating an almost identical replica of an existing image by tracing it using the pen and pencil tools in Adobe Illustrator (without using the Image Trace feature). To avoid copyright issues, I obtained the image from outside sources such as Flickr, ShootProof, Pixieset, Photobucket, or Adobe Stock. I put much effort into replicating the celebrity by paying close attention as much as possible, down to minor details like his facial features, jacket, and necklace.

Fruit Illustration

This project was one of the most ambitious that I have done because I aim to put as much effort into making the illustration as realistic as possible. To achieve the effect of realism, I utilized the eyedropper tool to find the bright and dim shades of yellow to make the vector-based image as accurate as possible. In addition to the overall realism of the piece, I also paid close attention to the stems of the bananas.

Unusual Situation

As a part of my project, I was tasked to find an image that captures an “unusual situation” involving people doing bizarre poses for entertainment purposes. After doing careful research, I searched for a picture of a man who appeared to be falling off a cliff. With this in mind, I have utilized different painting techniques using the brush tool in Adobe Photoshop, which, despite being an image creation and photo editing software, can be used in various ways outside its primary functions.

Pet Illustration

My aunt had asked me to create an illustration of a dog who had passed away a few years ago. To pay tribute to the dog’s passing, I put enough effort into depicting the dog’s fur and facial features, color matching, and sharp edges of the fur using pen and pencil tools in Adobe Illustrator. I also ensured the vector illustration was as accurate as possible to the original image, capturing all the dog’s details to send to my aunt.

Image Colorization

During my brainstorming sessions, I came across the idea of colorizing old photos from the late 1900s. While working on this project, I used blue coloring for the father’s shirt, very light green for his khakis, a dark reddish coloring for his belt, and yellow for his hat, while for the daughter’s dress and hat, I used purple coloring to make her appear baby friendly. My goal for this one was to exceed the overall quality of my previous projects by transforming a black-and-white photo into a vibrant colorized photo.

Hobby Project

This canvas was created as a personal project during my free time to help improve my skills in Adobe Photoshop. After watching some tutorial videos on how to utilize the software, I learned how to use the glowing effect on the animal’s horns and coloring effects, which impressed me enough to design my own photograph of an animal with glowing horns. With that in mind, I have used the blue lighting to represent calm and trustworthiness and have decided to use the picture of a moose as they are considered the largest deer species.

Color Variation

One of the best ideas I wanted to implement is having a palm tree with leaves of a different color instead of the usual green we see outdoors. After careful thinking, I decided to change the color of the leaves to blue by adjusting different tones while simultaneously achieving the realism I envisioned. The blue coloring contrasts with the waves and sky in the background. Thanks to the power of photo manipulation, this approach allows me to pick many colors to choose from while simultaneously achieving overall realism.

Image Enhancement

During my Raster-Based Imaging and Editing class at College of Central Florida, the professor asked me to restore an old photo that was torn apart, moist or scraped and told me to make the image look like it got fixed and appear just like new. To complete this task, I used the healing brush tool in Adobe Photoshop to remove all scratches and dents and the paintbrush tool to add small details. The final result was stunning, which perfectly matched the torn photo.

Interior Design

I have a true passion for designing and decorating rooms since I have experience reorganizing furniture and objects. Blue is an excellent choice for the primary color of the room’s interior and table because it conveys trust and stability. In addition, I went the extra mile to colorize the leaves of the plant and books on the right side with the “RO” logo as the cover for the red book and added a photo of the “Berlin Wall” project for the frame. The final results became something that had never been achieved previously.

Greek Mythology

During my online classes at “Bellevue University,” One of the assignments that utilized Photoshop informed me to create a project based on Greek/Roman Mythology. With this idea, I developed a mythological creature with a lion’s body, a goat’s horns, and a snake for the tail. What sets this project apart from my previous experience is that I wanted to match the creature to its rightful setting by perfectly matching the vibrant colors of the background.

Pillow Design

The idea is to use a pillow as a design element for my side project for those seeking a design for pillow covers. With this in mind, I incorporated red color grading to symbolize warmth and comfort and a flower pattern on the pillow to represent joy and happiness. I also put stripes around the girl’s pants to add variety and a touch of fun and creativity.

Sticker Design

My experience toward the end of my college semester inspired this sticker design. One of my professors suggested I create a leave-behind, a product or item given to someone after a meeting or presentation. For this specific sticker design, I used a fish I took a photo of during my fishing trip with my dad and decided to use it to create a vector-based graphic. The purpose of a leave-behind is to help people remember me, the product, or the service being discussed.

Motion Painting

While attending the Art Festival in Downtown Ocala, FL, I found inspiration from various forms of entertainment media, notably the Harry Potter series and other fantasy films. For this idea, I utilized a website called Adobe Firefly to help me find the image I was looking for and create a frame around the moving image. As a result, I developed a project that revolves around a giant wave tumbling down, making the photograph appear in motion.

Childhood Art

When I was young, in 2010, I got experience with art when I first got my hands on this web platform called Microsoft Paint, which allows me to express my creative imagination. The main inspirations behind these digital drawings are video games and movies, such as “The Hub Island” and “Crocodile Man,” inspired by the Super Mario series, and the T-Rex inspired by Jurassic Park. Some of these drawings contain original photos, including the good and the bad, to express my emotions, and the rainbow square pattern to represent hope.
