Image Collage

In college, I had an assignment called “Image Editing.” The task was to combine different sets of images to visually communicate a powerful message to the audience. For instance, this project explains the history of West Berlin of the Federal Republic of Germany from 1961 to 1989, which separated East Berlin from the German Democratic Republic. The image showcases how people tried to escape from the wall while the guards tried to prevent them from getting out.

Family Business Flyer

I have recently completed a project for a family-owned business that my dad’s cousin wants me to make. My primary objective for this project was to include as many original photos as possible while adding more roofing photos and editing them using Adobe Photoshop. I used a monochromatic color scheme with light and dark greens, precisely the color scheme for the title, positive space, and several circles around the images.

Digital Imaging

One of the most amusing projects I created was an unofficial movie poster before the pandemic. The challenge for this project was to craft a visually convincing poster as we see in movie theaters. I meticulously added slight details, such as the description at the bottom of the poster with convincing movie credit fonts, the rating on the left side, and the color grading partially inspired by Wes Anderson’s Asteroid City and Sabrina Carpenter’s Espresso Music Video.

Kids Creative Activity

During my internship at the Appleton Museum of Art in Ocala, Florida, I developed a coloring book showcasing the museum’s collection of artifacts. Half of the illustrations I designed included “Two Rabbits,” “Elephant,” and “Owl,” while the rest were created by the team at the museum. This experience allows me to expand my skill set during my time at the museum.

Social Cause

I had previously designed a flyer that promoted a social cause business. During the brainstorming sessions, I came up with the idea of neglected dogs being abandoned by their owners. Despite the somber tone, I aimed to rally fellow dog lovers to support this cause, fight, and join their organization.

Cause Collage

This assignment I have formed highlights a pressing social problem that many children and teenagers face daily. The main topic for this project is a young girl who has experienced online harassment on social media, depicted in a poignant illustration. The collage featured in the initiative carries multifaceted importance, featuring the hands pointing toward the girl, representing the bullies responsible for her mistreatment.

Art Event

I have always wanted to create an advertisement template to attract zoo enthusiasts to an upcoming event. For this canvas, I intentionally used a clean image with light and dark green color schemes to give an incredible contrast, believing that minimalism can enhance its overall appeal and quality. I kept the picture of the chimpanzee as the primary example of that main idea.

Cinemagraph

During my years at college, I had a task that required me to create an animated GIF. One of them was to create a looping GIF of a liquid poured into a glass. Lastly, I wanted to include a billboard with a firm announcement about the taste of orange juice, encouraging ongoing drivers to buy their product.

Social Media Promotions

Social media Platforms can effectively advertise fast food products. My idea was to create an advertisement for Zaxby’s, one of my favorite fast-food restaurants. My goal was to engage audiences with a large, easy-to-read font and a QR code that I generated to direct customers to a website where they could order the meal. To promote the Asian Zensation Zalad, I used the same font and color scheme based on the salad’s lettuce’s dark and light green tones.

Jewelry Ad

During my spare time, I decided to explore the concept of fashion and fancy jewelry. With this in mind, I envisioned a gold chain set against a blue background for visual consistency. To enhance the overall realism of my design, I included a chain to extend it to the center of the box.

Book Cover

After extensive research about how book covers were created, I stumbled upon the idea of a book design after seeing how my coloring book became a success. For this side project, I wanted to give audiences the idea of the “never judge a book by its cover” concept by developing a book cover that will engage viewers into wanting to read the story. The idea for the book cover itself mainly was inspired by Herman Melville’s Moby Dick, with similar color grading and animal.

Shell Illustration

I have always had a brilliant idea for designing seashells since childhood. During a boat trip with family and friends in the islands of Puerto Rico, I stumbled upon a beautiful conch shell nestled in the sand while walking around the island. I chose this shell to express the primary focus around the shell.

Performing Arts Poster

Around the time I was working on my certification, I had the idea to create a poster promoting a dance class for people of all ages (primarily in their teenage years). I chose violet and pink colors to appeal to the female audience. After extensive research, I felt satisfied with the overall project’s outcome.

Entrepreneurship

While at the same time, I am taking my online classes, I have always had a passion for wanting to start my own Graphic Design company. With that, I implemented my logo design with a deeper meaning. For example, the “FX” in “GRAFX,” as the name implies, applies various effects to my designs. In addition, I also wanted to incorporate the social media pages, which were not official.
